Production Diary 6th December

In this lesson I started to create my contents page on Quark express I will also being using this program for my double pages spread. I set up a page with 3 collums and on facing pages. I firstly set up the template for my contents page I did the by putting 3 picture boxes where I wanted them to be and then starting writing up the content of my contents page.

In this lesson I decided which image I was going to use as my main image on my front cover I tried different images to see which would work and it seemed that none of them would work for some reason on another so I am going to do another photoshoot to try and get better images.

In the lesson I decided that I want to put a background on my front cover I did this by using the gradient tool and using the different filter effects I experiemented with this a lot and changed the colours of what I wanted the background

Production Diary: 30th November

In this double lesson I put all the text that was needed on my magazine cover. This included all of the coverlines date and issue month and also a bar code. I then positioned all the text to where I want them to be for my magazine cover and also created a red strip for the bottom of my magazine to add effect. The positioning of my text on the front cover may change when the main image is put onto the magazine cover.

Production diary: 29th November

I started to create my music magazine front cover on Adobe Photoshop, in this lesson I created the canvas for my magazine cover and also created my title for the magazine and the style of the title. As my title has to be a unique font and style to any other text on the front cover I decided to put a bevel and a glow on the title.
